Anthony  Lam Anthony  Lam
Managing Director

Anthony Lam has 18 years of experience in private equity and environmental investments. Prior to joining ACP, he was Managing Director, Co-Head Asia Pacific of TRG Management, The Rohatyn Group. Mr. Lam served on the global investment committee and managed a portfolio of 7 investees with total investment amount of over $600 million in China, Singapore, South Korea as well as Thailand. Prior to joining TRG, Mr. Lam was a Partner at Citigroup Venture Capital International, the private equity arm of Citigroup. During 1997-2013, Mr. Lam had led or actively participated in private equity transactions in China in a variety of industries including renewable energy, financial, consumer, retail, telecommunication, industrial and technology. Mr. Lam received his M.B.A. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant-Inactive.

Anand  Prakash Anand  Prakash
Managing Director

Anand Prakash has over 20 years of experience in private equity and environmental investments. Prior to joining ACP, he established FE as one of the premier clean energy investors in Asia with investments across the spectrum of clean energy – hydro, wind, solar, biomass, biofuels, waste-to-energy and energy efficiency – and in key Asian locales of India, China, Thailand, Philippines and Singapore. Total transactions valued at over US$1.2 billion during this period. Mr. Prakash is recognized as an industry leader and is a regular speaker at various clean energy conferences and commentator in the media on trends and current events in the sector. Mr. Prakash spent the first decade of his career as a principal investor in the development, financing and structuring of energy transaction. In this period he worked on transactions in South Asia, USA, and Latin America while working for The Coastal Corporation, Hart Energy and Sithe Energies. He invested over U$250 million of the firm’s equity in this period. Mr. Prakash has a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, an Economics Tripos from St. John’s College, Cambridge University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Cornell University.

Duarte da  Silva Duarte da  Silva
Managing Director

Duarte da Silva has over 15 years of experience in environmental investments. Prior to joining ACP, he worked with ADB’s private equity group, which manages a portfolio of over 47 private equity fund participations amounting to over US$ 800 million. Prior to ADB, Mr. da Silva worked for Credit Suisse’s Environmental Business Group, where he was responsible for structuring private equity funds in clean tech and environmental services. Previously, he worked in the M&A divisions of RW Baird and Santander Investimentos in London and Lisbon, focusing mainly on the agriculture, renewable energy, infrastructure, and transport sectors. Mr. da Silva began his career at Arthur Andersen as a financial consultant. He holds an MBA from Oxford University and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University Catolica Portuguesa.

Niraj  Chhajer Niraj  Chhajer
Director

Niraj Chhajer brings more than 10 years of experience in private equity and clean energy investing. Prior to joining ACP, Mr. Chhajer was a Director at FE Clean Energy Group responsible for India investments and providing transaction structuring and financial analysis inputs across deals in the FE portfolio of US$265 million of funds under management. At FE, he identified, structured, closed and managed US$ 100 million worth of FE investments in renewable energy sector in India with an enterprise value of US$ 1.3 billion. He also participated in several successful exits in India, Thailand and Philippines during his six year stint. Mr. Chhajer worked at Wachovia Bank (now part of Wells Fargo, USA) in India prior to FE, where he was responsible for deals worth more than US$ 100 million in structured debt and equity instruments in power sector in India. Mr. Chhajer started his career as an Investment Banker at Axis Bank (India’s 3rd largest private sector bank with total assets size of US$ 62 billion) where he raised more than US$ 125 million of private equity capital for various unlisted and listed companies in India. Mr. Chhajer is a qualified Chartered Accountant in India. He ranked 26th in the nationally administered Chartered Accountant examination. Mr. Chhajer has a Master’s Degree in Commerce from Gujarat University in India.

ChinChan Lim ChinChan Lim

ChinChan Lim has over 10 years of working experience and has been in private equity since 2007. Prior to joining ACP, Mr. Lim was Vice President & Head of Execution of Mizuho AsiaInfra Capital (“MAIC”), an infrastructure fund manager sponsored by Mizuho Bank where he led the firm’s investment execution efforts targeting various infrastructure subsectors in Asia. Being a pioneer member of MAIC, he was instrumental in developing the firm’s investment processes during its inception in late 2014. Prior to MAIC, Mr. Lim was with the Asian Infrastructure Team in J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Global Real Assets, managing c. USD1.5 billion under the Asia Infrastructure & Related Resources Opportunity Fund (“JPM AIRRO”). At JPM AIRRO, he was responsible for covering private equity investments in Southeast Asia including transactions in energy, renewables and resources. Mr. Lim was also previously with CapAsia, a Non-BRIC Emerging Asia infrastructure private equity firm with c. USD250-300 million under management. In CapAsia, Mr. Lim focused on investments in Southeast & Central Asia across diverse sectors such as power, transportation, education, renewables, healthcare and telecoms. Mr. Lim holds a BEng in Electronic and Communications Engineering from the University of Bristol and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Miguel Mondonedo Miguel Mondonedo
Senior Associate

Miguel Mondonedo has more than eight years of experience in private equity and asset management. Prior to joining ACP, Mr. Mondonedo was a Senior Associate at CapAsia, a mid-market infrastructure private equity fund manager focused on South East Asia and Central Asia with approximately US$230 million in assets under management. At CapAsia, Mr. Mondonedo closed a greenfield wind farm investment in the Philippines and a brownfield toll road acquisition in Indonesia, deploying in excess of US$80 million of private equity capital. He previously worked with the Government Service Insurance System, the Philippines’ largest pension fund, helping oversee the fund’s equity research efforts and was instrumental in the development of the country’s first infrastructure private equity fund.  Mr. Mondonedo began his career at Neuberger Berman, formerly known as Lehman Brothers Asset Management, as part of the firm’s asset management strategy team. Mr. Mondonedo holds an MBA from Duke University and a BA from New York University.

Junling Chen Junling Chen

Junling Chen has 6 years of experience in investment banking and environmental investments. Prior to joining ACP, she worked with HSBC investment banking, providing advisory services on M&A and capital financing to clients across Asia Pacific engaged in renewable energy, environmental services, power and utilities sector. She previously worked with KPMG Advisory focusing on M&A transaction services. Ms. Chen holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management. 

Dinesh Loya Dinesh Loya

Dinesh Loya brings more than 6 years of experience in corporate finance and fund raising. Prior to joining ACP, Dinesh worked at NSL Renewable Power Private Limited, a renewable energy company with a portfolio of 500 MW of projects in biomass, hydro, solar and wind power.  Dinesh was responsible for raising private equity, mezzanine debt and project debt for NSL at both the corporate and project levels. He has raised private equity & mezzanine financing of over USD 420 million and project debt of USD 600 million. Dinesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant in India and holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce with specialization in Finance & Taxation.

Rajat  Narula Rajat  Narula

Rajat Narula has 3 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Prior to joining ACP, Mr. Narula was a Corporate Development Associate at Robeco Hong Kong, where he focused on the fundraising and marketing strategies for ACP, as well as other regional strategies and corporate development initiatives. Previously, he worked as an investment banking analyst (M&A) at Rabobank in Mumbai focusing on evaluating investment opportunities and capital market transactions within the food and agricultural sectors. Mr. Narula holds a bachelor's degree in Economics with Distinction from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.

Ivan Yung Ivan Yung

Ivan Yung has 3 years of investment and capital markets experience in the energy sector. Prior to joining ACP, he worked with RED Capital Group on developing and investing in greenfield projects across Asia Pacific in the oil and gas, energy, power and utilities sector. He previously worked with Khazanah Nasional Berhad focusing on evaluating investment opportunities and capital markets transaction within the renewable energy, power and utilities sector across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Mr. Yung holds an MSc in Management from London School of Economics and a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College London.

Taychatum Narapanich Taychatum Narapanich

Taychatum Narapanich has over 6 years of working experience in private equity and investment banking, where his focus has been in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Prior to ACP, Mr.Narapanich was the Country Manager for the Mekong region countries at Asian Energy Investment (“AEI”), a mid-market private equity fund under IDI Infrastructure Group. At AEI, he was key in pioneering the execution processes for the fund as well as establishing the Mekong Region transaction team. Previously, Mr. Narapanich helped set up the Thai operation for Emerging Asia Capital Partners, an advisory firm specialized in fund raising for energy and infrastructure project in Asia. Prior to Emerging Asia Capital Partners, he was part of the M&A team at KT Zmico Securities, the securities arm of Thailand’s second largest bank by asset size. During his time at KT Zmico Securities he helped the firm to successfully execute the first Thai-Vietnam cross-border M&A transaction. Mr.Narapanich holds a B.Eng from Chulalongkorn University.
